All we need running are:

John Delaney, a moderate, former Maryland congressman

Kamala Harris, a minority , California senator, former attorney general

Andrew Yang, a progressive

Everybody else running duplicates one of the above or has too much baggage

Cory Booker is too close to Kamala Harris politically, and he has more baggage than she has. What happened to that $100m to Newark schools? Booker should direct his voters to Kamala Harris.

Bernie Sanders has run his course. He was good last time, but he needs to step aside now. Elizabeth Warren is a duplicate of Bernie politically, and she also has too much baggage like the Pocahontas/Fauxcahontas scandal. They should throw their support behind Andrew Yang

Beto has too much baggage.

I understand your approach, but I don’t like your choices .

Andrew Yang has 0 political experience. Based on the current disastrous WH occupant, that will not fly, especially considering Yang’s silver spoon background and pure business experience.  Harris talks a good game, but has a lot of questions in her o wn past, especially when it comes to buddying up with the for-profit prison system.

None of them have a clean slate, which is exactly why they have primaries, and why most will get shed quickly. As long as they keep it clean, building support to the eventual candidate will still play out.

I think a moderate Midwestern blue-collar liberal would stand the best chance, but they’re few and far between. Just to throw your hat in the ring today requires some built-in level of self-aggrandizing attitude and egotism. Someone who can speak to a large chunk of the Trump working-class and middle-class base, but without overtly offending their socially conservative sensibilities.

Ideally they’d start as an Independent, but “reluctantly” switch to a “D” once their campaign is underway ( Sort of like what Sanders did , but this person would not be insane and would also be in possession of a comb and a mirror.)

Booker is way too conservative and libertarian for this election cycle. I don’t know how Harris gets so much shit, but he gets by unscathed.

Bernie is an opportunist and he can eat a dick. Especially now that he’s in his late 70s.

I don’t really see what Beto’s baggage is, besides being the most electable Democrat in Texas for a few decades. He’s far from my first choice, but I’m sure he’ll get elected in the future  after the Democrats fuck up in 2020.

Looks solid to me, I’m reading about him now. That’s exactly the kind of personality I’m talking about.

I’m centrist-conservative-libertarian and this is the kind of person I would vote for, especially if it meant getting rid of Trump. Too bad about our electoral college getting in the way...Trump will win ~65% of Alabama once again. Actually maybe more like 62% with all of the negative press.

Klobuchar. She would soundly beat Trump in a national election. Unfortunately, she’s way too conventional and moderate to get nominated with the hard left turn the Dems are now making. It will hurt them bad.

Biden could also win a national election if the nomination process can stomach a likable old white guy.

I also hate this narrative that Beto is a hacker because he was associated with a hacker group. He’s as much a hacker as anyone that has ever pirated a movie or ripped a song from youtube.

I work as an ethical hacker and my industry hates this narrative as well as the negative connotation given to us. I do enjoy the titles given to us to avoid hacker tho. “penetration tester”

It’s too early for that - a bunch of these goofballs won’t even make it to Iowa.

I do hope that they can avoid beating each other up too much in the primaries, but the longer the nomination is undecided, the less time the orange menace has to attack the candidate.

The difference between Bernie and Yang is with Bernie he’s had his heart in this for a very long time. We know what we are getting with him. Also he’s not playing on this “social justice warrior” stuff that people like Kamala Harris does. I actually know Trump supporters and union rank and file who are extremely pro bernie but hate other democrats because of that.

Yang is a meme at this point. I mean Trump was a meme as well. Trump and Yang have the same credentials for the presidency. I don’t think we need a nice good boy CEO guy to take on Trump.

Another thing is during polls Bernie was higher vs trump than Hillary by enough percentile that it would have given him a win.

Cory Booker is also a vegan and dating Rosario Dawson, and has other traits that Trump probably has all kinds of material for. He also really sucks at spur of the moment talk which is bad vs trump.

I think Tulsi Gabbard is best for the “moderate” choice. Bernie is the best progressive. Kamala harris is the best extreme social liberal progressive. I’d throw Beto in as well for the “wacky” candidate. I think a lot of his “baggage” are things that actually help him like with Trump.

I wish Tammy Duckworth would run. She would annihilate Trump.

I think one thing democrats need to realize, ESPECIALLY internet democrats , is voters overall don’t care about this. Clinton would have kept winning, Hillary went HARD after people like Monica Lewinski yet people still defend her on the left , and Trump won the presidency.

Misogyny is an internet issue, a twitter issue, and a left issue. Independents and even most democrats don’t care. Democrats and Republicans both only care if their opponent is a misogynist. On top of that Al Franken is given a pass by a lot of people over his misogynist behavior.
